Travis Couture is proud to be endorsed by the Northwest National Construction Alliance, which represents 50,000 workers that build Washington's critical infrastructure in the commercial building, industrial, utilities and energy sectors, including our roads and bridges.

The member trade unions of the NCA include the Washington & Northern Idaho District Council of Laborers, the Pacific Northwest Regional Council of Carpenters, the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 302, and the Washington State Association of UA Plumbers, Pipefitters and HVAC/R Service Technicians.

I stand strongly opposed to a new international airport proposal for rural Thurston County. I have spent considerable time talking with those who would be affected by this proposal, and I’m in their corner.

The list of concerns regarding this airport are dizzying, however, chief among them are a land grab that destroys private property rights and would force people from their homes, destruction of our natural environment, and an attack on the character of the community and our rural way of life.

I am a hard NO on this proposal, and will use every tool at my disposal to fight back.

The Couture campaign is honored to have the official endorsement of the Washington State Fraternal Order of Police, which represents over 3,400 law enforcement officers in the state and is directly associated with the National Fraternal Order of Police with over 364,000 members.

People need to feel safe, and public safety has been a top priority for the Couture campaign since day one.

Travis is fully committed to restoring public safety and ensuring law enforcement receives the respect, resources, tools, and facilities that they need to do the critical job of keeping us safe from rising crime.
